Although we are an 87-year-old company, we are always offering new brands and styles. A new boot label for us this season, available at our Winnetka location, is La Canadienne, a higher-end ladies' waterproof boot made in Canada that you can wear to work or to the park with your kids. We also offer a wide selection of snow boots from Kamik, Tundra, and, of course, Stride Rite. Besides the snow boots, we have plenty of waterproof gloves and mittens, wool hats, fleece mittens and the ever-popular mitten clips for the little ones. In slippers, we carry Acorn at our Winnetka store and a nice selection of other children's slippers at both stores. We have warm sheepskin slippers on sale for the whole family. We offer many elite kids’ shoe brands, ranging from the traditional to the fashion-forward styles. We stock all types of kids’ footwear, including sandals, soccer, basketball, ballet, slippers, rain boots, snow boots, hikers, clogs, dress shoes and first walkers for babies. Our brands include:
We have served many customers for three generations as a “sit and fit” shoe store where each child’s feet are individually measured. Our mature and conscientious sales staff takes the time to fit your shoes correctly. If you do not see the style or color of shoe you desire, we can special order your shoe. We carry medium and wide widths in almost every boys’ shoe style that we stock from Jumping Jacks, New Balance, Stride Rite and Saucony. We offer dress shoes and loafers in narrow and medium widths for older girls. Our traditional shoes include two-strap mary janes for girls, dirty bucks and white bucks for boys. Of course, we carry penny loafers in burgundy and black. Our frequent shopper program rewards shoppers with $40.00 off after $400 in purchases. The great thing about our frequent buyer program is that all purchases count toward the goal total – including sale shoes, mittens, hats, gloves and socks. We are located in Northwest Evanston, just 1 ½ blocks west of Green Bay Road. Look for the maroon awning on the south side of the street. In Winnetka, we are located 1 ½ blocks west of Green Bay Road on the north side of the street.
